Campaign Background
It has been two years since the destruction of the Death Star. During that time, the full-force of the Empire has come to bear down upon the ever-elusive Rebel Alliance. Moving their base from planet-to-planet, they have been able to evade capture...for now. Money and resources are starting to become scarce, with the growing Imperial presence, it is only a matter of time before their luck runs out. In response, the Rebel Alliance is making an all-out effort to recruit as many people as possible.
The Tapani Sector is currently in turmoil. Since the destruction of the Torpedo Sphere by the JAN at Tallan, the Empire has moved in to maintain a full-occupational presence. All of the Houses are divided upon what to do about their presence, as their traditions and way of life are being destroyed before their very eyes.
Some factions have broken off from various houses, and are forming unholy alliances together (and sometimes even with the JAN) to join the fight to remove the Imperial presence from the sector. However, the nobles who have joined in the fight are not the wealthy ones, so money is tight. While they have achieved some key victories, overall, the war is not going well.
The Empire itself, while at the height of its power, is slowly losing effectiveness, because it is too spread-out. If they are to survive, then they must eliminate this annoying Rebellion before they score another key victory.
As it seems, the only area which is benefiting from this war, is the Corporate Sector. Imperial presence in their sector is at a twenty-year low, and this makes the Corporate Sector Authority very happy. The CSA-based companies are seeing dramatic rises in revenues, reaching up to unheard-of highs. If you want to make some money, then this is the place to be!
