Okay everyone, here's some guidelines to use in creating your characters.
- Everybody will play one character.
- Each character will start with the standard racial attributes plus 6D, i.e. 18D for humans and most races.
- Any alien character with attributes above 4D or any special abilities needs to be cleared with me first.
- No one usually wants to, but if you want to play a droid I have the Droid technology book which has rules for making droid characters.
- Each character will get 7D to allocate to skills.
- No skill may be greater than 5D unless you have at least one skill at 4D in each attribute.
- You may allocate up to 2D of your skill dice towards specializations.
- 1D of skill dice will get you 3 specializations at base skill + 1D.
- I will be using a number of Advanced skills that do not appear in the main rule book. Descriptions of these Advanced Skills are on a separate page.
- Each character starts with 5 character points, which you may spend on your skills if you don't think you'll need them.
- Non-Force sensitive characters start with 1 Force point, Force sensitive characters start with 2.
- Force users will be allowed, but check with me before you start picking out any powers.
- You may pick out you own equipment within limits. The following items are all allowed without a problem:
- Blaster pistol (4D)
- Blaster rifle (5D)
- Holdout blaster (3D)
- Blaster pack
- Knife (STR + 2)
- Blastvest (+1D Physical, +1 Energy) and Helmet (+1D Physical, +1 Energy)
- Flightsuit and Helmet
- Comlink
- Glowrod
- Medpack
Other items are not ruled out, but you have to check with me first for availability or any drawbacks to owning certain equipment.
- Try to make a backstory for your character. Even a short little paragraph can help. Some of you know I can get a tad bit overzealous in writing my own characters' backstories, but you don't need to get that in depth. The more you come up with though, the better you'll be able to play your character and the better I'll be able to work your character into the plot.
If I've forgotten anything or you have any questions, please e-mail me.
