It is a few months before the events of Star Wars: Episode I. Chancellor Valorum runs the Senate, and the Trade Federation mantains its monopoly. From the outside it looks like prosperity is everywhere, but on closer inspection things are beginning to break down. Corruption is rampant within the government, bloated bureaucracies maintain the status quo, and the Sith plan how to best make known the fact that they still exist.

Your characters are at least partially aware of the darker side, so to speak, of the Republic. As mercenaries and freelance troubleshooters, whether by choice or circumstance, you often work in the shadows hidden from the public eye.

Most of your characters will not know each other when the campaign starts. Depending on your backgrounds, some characters might end up knowing or knowing of each other, but don't count on it. Once I get background info on characters, I can work you into the plot more and give you information on the game world that your character would know.
