Day 1, 18:00
Coruscant Undercity

Through choice or circumstance, seven strangers arrive at The Broken Saber tavern in the evening. Psira, the bouncer at the bar, meets many of them as he confiscates the weapons that many of them have tried to hide on themselves illegally. In the corner of the bar, a human in a flight suit breaks of from a Trandoshan bounty hunter and a Duros. The human walks over to a Sullustan sitting at a table eating his dinner. Raemon Del introduces himself and asks Dllr Nep, the Sullustan, if he's looking for work. As Raemon and Dllr begin to talk, Latrell Calrissian saunters over to talk to his old friend Raemon. As they catch up, Raemon offers Latrell the opportunity for too. As it happens, his boss Talassk has been hired by the government to track down a violent gang called Dark Phalanx. This gang has recently begun attacking supply trucks in the city, and the government wants an example made of them. After scouting the area, Talassk and his men have located the gang's two bases, but unfortunately they don't have the manpower to attack them both simultaneously. So Talassk has sent Raemon to look for help. Sitting at the table over, Ter-Dahna overhears the conversation and asks if she too can join. As Latrell goes over to hit on her, Raemon moves on to look for more help. He spots Chi Ten Da, a Trandoshan standing and Psira at the bar. He explains the offer to them, and they accept. As Raemon moves over to a table where he spots a Jedi sitting, Chi Ten Da makes his way towards the corner of the bar towards Charmaine, the young woman he has been looking for. Raemon talks to Morgan, the Jedi apprentice, and eventually asks him to join his group. Morgan thinks about it and accepts. Suddenly Chi Ten Da draws his blaster pistol and moves menacingly towards the young woman in the corner. She stands as if to escape but realizes she has nowhere to go. Psira and Morgan both dart through the crowd to avert any potential bloodshed. Chi Ten Da explains to the Charmaine that his employer, Valis Heltin, wants his money back and that he was sent to make sure she knows that she cannot run nor hide. Charmaine claims she does not have the money, but she offers 1,000 credits to pay towards what she does owe. As Chi Ten Da again asks her for money, Ter-Dahna, who has since rejected Latrell's advances, suggests that they bring Charmaine along too and that she can use the money she earns to pay towards her debt. Chi Ten Da is convinced, and Raemon reminds them all to arrive in the morning to set out for the raid.

One by one they all arrive outside The Broken Saber the following morning. Talassk, the Trandoshan bounty hunter, is there along with Raemon, Dreis Toran the Duros, and an Esoomian named Gruntar who some had seen sitting outside the bar earlier. Talassk instructs that they will split into two groups to attack the bases. He will take Gruntar and Dreis to the main base, while Raemon will lead the others to the secondary warehouse. The groups go their separate ways, and Raemon leads his team to a mostly in tact warehouse. Dllr lines up a guard on top of the warehouse in his rifle sights while most of the others begin to quietly move forward. Unfortunately for them, Psira is not so quiet and accidentally kicks over some rubble. The guard on the roof spots him and questions his presence. Psira pretends that he was just passing though, but the guard doesn't care and shoots him anyway. Dllr returns fire, and an all out battle ensues. Eventually it turns out that Faris, the gang's leader is present as he hacks and slashes his way out with his vibrosword. Eventually though all of the gang members are killed. The party scavenges through the warehouse greedily looking for anything valuable. All they find are various medical supplies and hospital gear. Dllr, being a former member of the Coruscant Guard, recognizes that the medical supplies would likely be of more value to the undercity gangs who are otherwise unlikely to check in directly to the city hospitals. Meanwhile Raemon and Psira begin the grisly task of collecting the gang members' heads to bring back as proof of the gang's extermination. After all is done, they begin to head back to The Broken Saber to meet with Talassk.

Coruscant, outside a burnt out warehouse near the city surface.

Blaster fire leaps back and forth between the windows of the warehouse and a police line outside. Eventually the exchanges stop, and a black clothed figure quickly and quietly moves in towards the warehouse. It glances about making a quick count of the bodies and ducks inside through a side door. Scanning about quickly, its gaze stops upon two dead men with a small briefcase lying between them. Small canisters fly through the windows and streams of gas begin to roll out from them. The figure darts forward and deftly scoops up the briefcase before darting back outside. Shortly thereafter a number of armoured assault troops storm through the front door of the warehouse and begin the search for any survivors or further resistance. As the dark figure with the briefcase distances itself from the warehouse, it moves into a small building. It sets the briefcase down on a table and opens it to examine the contents. After a cursory examination, the figure pulls a comlink out of a pocket and activates it.

"Command, this is Projil, do you read?"

"Command here. What's your status?"

"The raid was successful, both gangs are dead though the body counts haven't been confirmed. I retrieved the payment that was being exchanged for the deal. I think you'll want to see this."

"What is it?"

"I'd rather not say yet. I know your end is more than secure, but there's still a lot of activity going on here. I'll return home shortly."

"Negative, I don't want anyone following you here. We're short staffed right now, but if the payment is unusual I'll arrange a pickup for it per standard procedures. Go to the Argyre Center and someone will meet you there."

"Copy that. Projil out."

Day 2, 08:30
Coruscant Undercity

Arriving back at The Broken Saber, the party finds Talassk and company waiting after successfully dispatching their half of the Dark Phalanx gang. Talassk confirms the events of the morning and then takes their collection of grisly war trophies to receive the group's reward. Everyone else goes inside the bar to wait. Being early in the morning the bar is relatively empty. They all sit down at their table and eat breakfast while waiting. Soon Talassk returns with the reward money along with a bonus for finding the medical supplies. Talassk and his bounty hunters leave soon after.

While celebrating their victory and splitting the profits, a nicely dressed man steps out from behind the curtain where "no one is allowed back there." He introduces himself as McRae, the bar's owner, and congratulates the group on their defeat of the Dark Phalanx. He buys them all a round to drink on the house but then excuses himself to continue his work. When the drinks arrive, Charmaine notices a chip on the bottom of her glass with a note on it instructing them to request a private room for a meeting. She does, and the group moves to the back room to find McRae waiting for them there. He tells them that he has some work for them if they are interested, but since time is of the essence in this case, he can't go into much detail at the time. Everyone agrees, and McRae explains that he has someone bringing something to him who can't bring it here directly. His associate will drop off a briefcase with the items in a prearranged location at Argyre Center in about thirty minutes. All the party needs do is pick up the briefcase and return with it.

The party leaves immediately and catches a taxi. They instruct the taxi driver to go as fast as he can, and are able to barely make it in time. They quickly spread out and wait for their contact. A few minutes later a man matching the description they were given goes into a phone booth, makes a call, and leaves quickly leaving behind his briefcase. Psira picks up the briefcase, and he and Morgan rush to a taxi to return. As the others are waiting behind trying not to look suspicious, they notice two uniformed Coruscant Guards running towards the taxi ordering it to stop. Psira and Morgan's taxi speeds off as the Guards commandeer a taxi of their own to give pursuit. Dllr Nep comlinks ahead to warn them, and after rounding some corners into a back alley, Psira and Morgan jump out and tell their taxi driver to continue on. The go down some alleys until they think they've lost their pursuers. Psira stops to examine some garbage bags outside a door, but Morgan convinces him to keep moving. As they are moving they examine the briefcase and find it is locked. Discussing what to do, they remain oblivious to the footsteps approaching behind them. The two Coruscant Guard chasing them raise their pistols and order the pair to freeze. One of the Guard orders Psira to drop the brief case and step away from it. Psira does so, but steps towards the policemen. The Guard again orders Psira to step back, and when Psira steps back again towards the officers the Guards warns him that he will shoot him. Psira takes another step, and the Guard shoots him. Morgan draws his blaster and shoots the other officer. Psira punches the officer and Morgan shoots him, but not before Psira is shot again and wounded. Psira gives the briefcase to Morgan and tells him to return it while Psira seeks medical attention. Morgan argues against leaving him but eventually gives in and returns to The Broken Saber.

Once everyone returns except for Psira, they deliver the briefcase to McRae. McRae takes the briefcase to another room to examine it and returns with the party's payment. Then he explains that he is really a special operative for the Senate who handles most of the tasks that need to be done but that the Senate would rather not become public knowledge. He mentions that the bar is a safe house of sorts and should be secure. McRae also tells them that he has another mission for them which is of a very sensitive nature. Senator Calmon, one of the Corellian senators and a former general, appears to be planning to lead a revolution to secede from the Republic. In order to prevent this, McRae has been instructed that Calmon be killed. Morgan balks at this plan, but when McRae suggests that the life of this one man is not worth the lives of the millions who would die in a potential civil war, Morgan tentatively agrees. McRae provides the group with a blueprint of Calmon's estate on Coruscant as well as a special program to be inserted into Calmon's backup power generator which should cause the generator to explode in such a way that it appears accidental. The party sits back to begin its plans...

Deep in the undercity beneath Coruscant.

A slightly hunched man scurries through the tunnels of the undercity in an old broken down complex. As he runs forward, two guards step out and lower their spears in challenge. Recognizing the runner though, they pull back their weapons. The man rushes into a large hall full of other pale skinned, slightly feral looking people. He kneels down before an older man who is sitting in a makeshift throne.

"King, Reegan brings bad news."

"More bad? Now what?"

"Rabdolan the Hunter struck again. He capture two of Reegan's scouts. Reegan's men are strong though; they not give in. But this was not far from Red Curve. Rabdolan be getting closer to us."

"This is bad. We cannot stand against Rabdolan's men by ourselves. Neeva has returned though, and the others will not help us. They believe that Rabdolan only wants our territory. They hope that if we fall, Rabdolan will leave them be. I hope they are right, but Rabdolan is venom. We must seek help elsewhere. I will send scavengers to look for more supplies, but for you Reegan I have a plan. Go up near the new lairs. Find hunters there. If we have our own hunters perhaps they can help us. Take the money from the ashen vault and offer them the old wares. Perhaps they can use them, and they may save us yet."

"It is a good plan majesty. Reegan will go with all haste. Reegan shall not fail."

Day 2, 11:00
Coruscant Undercity

McRae has just handed the party their next assignment: the assassination of Senator Jord Calmon. They ask McRae for some supplies they will need and leave to begin planning. Ter-Dahna and Dllr going shopping to buy some gear while Morgan, Latrell, and Chi Ten Da go to Calmon's estate to scout the area. While they are gone, Jorge returns to the bar, and after being briefed by McRae he waits there with the others. At McRae's estate, Chi Ten Da examines a vehicle bay while the others observe from a nearby park. A few minutes into their observation, a passerby at the park bumps into Morgan while walking away. Morgan checks his pockets and finds a note has been added to their normal contents. The note instructs them to leave the area and that they will be briefed later. They too then return to the bar and pass on their limited info to the rest of the part to begin planning the mission.

When evening comes they meet again with McRae to pick up the items he has procured for them. Pravin, the man from the park, is also there to explain to them the layout of the estate and a summary of the staff present at any given time. They explain their plan to McRae about posing as a news crew come to interview the Senator, and once inside they will dispose of him and his guards quietly. McRae agrees with the plan and arranges for the necessary equipment and for the interview to be place on the Senator's schedule.

The night of the mission comes and everything seems to go smoothly. Charmaine, Chi Ten Da, and Green wait outside in case trouble starts. Morgan waits around back to attempt to enter through the roof. Jorge poses as a producer, Ter-Dahna as his assistant, Dllr as the cameraman, and Latrell as the reporter who will interview the Senator. They are brought inside and are given a quick search, but the guards do not find the carefully hidden slugthrowers that have been put inside the camera equipment. Ren Cao, Calmon's personal bodyguard takes the group upstairs to meet the Senator. After a short conversation, the Senator retires to his quarters while the crew sets up the camera and lights. Jorge tries to convince the guards to let him go to the security room under the pretense that he wants to make sure none of their security equipment is interfering with their equipment. Not knowing anything about the cameras and principles behind the newscast, however, makes it difficult to trick the guards into believing him. Through divine intervention though he miraculously succeeds and goes with one of the guards to the control room. Once there he tosses in a stun grenade that has been disguised as a comlink and backs out. The implosion of the stun grenade attracts the attention of Ren Cao upstairs who goes to investigate. While Jorge holds off the guards downstairs, Dllr and Latrell charge into Calmon's quarters with their slugthrowers and fire a number of rounds into the Senator. Ter-Dahna goes out the other door to check on Ren Cao as Morgan makes his way down from the roof. Morgan tries to sneak up on Ren Cao, but he is heard, and the soldier fires at him. Morgan closes with his lightsaber, but Ren Cao manages to beat him back with a blistering flurry of punches and rifle butts. Charmaine, Chi Ten Da, and Green notice the guard patrolling outside run inside, and they moved to intercept. Not thinking, Chi Ten Da fires a shot at the guard with their blasters from outside, but Green manages to close and knife him. They run inside just in time to see Jorge take a bad hit right in the chest. They finish off the guards downstairs and run upstairs to assist. Upstairs Morgan is being beat down furiously by Ren Cao. Ter-Dahna tries to assist by firing into the melee. Her first shot hits Ren Cao in just the right spot to penetrate the armour and draw blood, but her second shot catches Morgan right in the back, and Morgan drops. Without Morgan in the way Chi Ten Da, Green, Ter-Dahna, and Dllr all concentrate their fire and are able to kill the powerful warrior.

With the guards disposed of, Ter-Dahna and Jorge go to the basement to install the virus program into the generator there. After that everyone evacuates the building, and Charmaine picks them up in the van they arrived in. Driving away they hear the explosion behind they as they set course for The Broken Saber.

"This is RNN, the Republic News Network."

"Good morning, and thanks for joining us. I'm Gil McGillischlictski. Our top story this morning is the death of Corellian Senator Jord Calmon. Reports are still sketchy, but we do know that an explosion rocked the Corellian diplomatic district last night. Senator Calmon, Corellian war hero Ren Cao, and five security staff were all killed in the explosion. Preliminary reports point to experiments being held at Coruscant Electric that were being done on the production equipment. When one of their techs deleted the weather database that regulates the climate control systems, it sent power surges to many facilities. The frequency of the surges were such that the custom power regulators in Calmon's estate didn't react as expected and caused the fatal explosion. Coruscant Electric declined to comment on the reports. And to add even more confusion to the issue, eye witnesses in the Corellian district reported seeing what may have been blaster fire outside Calmon's estate as little as fifteen minutes before the explosion. In a statement to the press, Coruscant Guard Captain Namarr, described the investigation."

"The current focus of our investigation is on the tests being conducted at Coruscant Electric. We are of course looking into the reports of blaster fire before the explosion, but this is not a homicide investigation at this point. We will be taking the remains to a special lab to try to verify the cause of death. Until those tests are complete, we will not make any speculations."

Inside an office in the Broken Saber

Two men sit on opposite sides of a table with a deck of Sabacc cards in between them.

"I call. What've you got?"

As one man begins to lay his cards on the table, the door opens and another man walks in quickly.

"Sorry to interrupt you, but a message has come in from one of Mr. McRae's informants. I thought one of you should see it."

"Okay, what is it... hmmm... interesting... Take a look at this Projil. Something's going on out there."

"You're right. We should contact McRae and let him know."

"No, we don't want to blow his cover. He said not to contact him unless there was evidence they were going to act overtly. This is important, but we don't know what they're up to. At least not yet."

"I suppose you're right. We should do something though, I can't stand sitting here doing nothing."

"One of us should go check it out. I'm not sure if this really falls into our jurisdiction though."

"That's never stopped us before. Don't worry about it Prav, I'll handle it."

Day 5, 19:30
Coruscant Undercity

A short distance away from the Corellian Senatorial District on Coruscant, the party hears the explosion of Senator Calmon's estate. Driving casually away in their news van, they return to the news station the truck came from. On the way they catch a news report about the incident, and squabble shortly about who screwed up. After dropping off the truck though, they take taxis and eventually reach The Broken Saber. Upon talking with Bruiyanto they find that McRae is not in the bar but is out running damage control after their last mission. He arranges for someone to meet with them though. Shortly thereafter they are instructed to meet in the dressing room, where they find Pravin waiting. Pravin gives them some of their payment but says that they'll need to talk to McRae later to get the rest since he doesn't have access to the funds. The party recounts the events of the previous night to Pravin, and he informs them that he doesn't have any jobs for them at the moment, but once McRae returns he will probably find something for them. Someone mentions the fact that Morgan and Jorge were injured during the mission, and Pravin offers to find a doctor for them.

While waiting in the bar for Pravin to make the necessary arrangements for the doctor, the party spots a small hunched man circulating through the crowd talking to most everyone. Eventually he arrives at the party's table and introduces himself as Reegan. He says he is looking for mighty heroes to help his people against the terrible Rabdolan and his hunters. He tells the party that his king with award them with great treasure if they can save them. The party discusses the idea, and Morgan and Ter-Dahna convince the others to reluctantly accept the job. During their discussion, they receive a note from Pravin that the doctor has arrived, and Morgan goes to receive treatment. After Morgan is tended to, Ter-Dahna goes to find Jorge, but Jorge declines treatment. Ter-Dahna tells Pravin, this and also informs him that they'll be leaving on another job temporarily. After that they talk to Reegan, who is very happy that they have accepted.

The party leaves the bar with Reegan, and he leads them through a number of back roads until they begin descending further into the undercity. After a few hours of travel, some of the party hears noises of creatures around them. Reegan drops down on all fours and charges off into the darkness at something as a number of man sized rodent-like creatures move in on the party. Reegan, Latrell, Ter-Dahna, and Morgan hold off the creatures to the front, while Green and Jorge see a very large beast charging in from the back of the group. They shoot it a number of times before it closes and attempts to run over them. Green dives out of the way, but the beast steps right on Jorge crushing him. Morgan turns around to notice the commotion and charges forward to cut down the creature with his lightsaber. As the last of the creatures is defeated, the party goes to examine the crumpled remains of Jorge. Once there, however, they make a startling discovery. Jorge is not a human, but a sophisticated droid. They gather up the broken pieces and bring them with in the hopes that they can repair him.

Arriving deep in the bowels of the undercity, Reegan leads the party into the Lab Warren, apparently a former research hospital. There they meet King Nottmar who welcomes the heroes. He leads them to an old vault with old items that have found, which he hopes will help the heroes in their struggle with Rabdolan. Among the items are a some slugthrowers and blaster pistols, a disassembled rifle in a briefcase, some modified blast vests, a medical computer of some sort, a collapsing metal staff, and an odd rope that looks to be made of some type of transparasteel. After looking through the items in the vault, they find an apparently undamaged computer. After a thourough investigation, Morgan realizes that the computer isn't plugged in. He does so, and they hook up Jorge's CPU to the computer. They run a diagnostic and find that the CPU has not been destroyed but is badly damaged. Jorge manages to send some signals back through the computer and gives instructions to Ter-Dahna who begins the task of reassembling him.

Day 6, 7:00
The Lab Warren, deep within Coruscant

Ter-Dahna and Green work on fixing Jorge and some of the surgical manipulator equipment when an alarm is sounded from the main hall. The Lab Warren is under attack! Reegan rushes to defend his home with Morgan, Green, and Dllr Nep following shortly. Another tribe of undercity dwellers is attacking the front gate, but with the help of Reegan and the party the guards are able to repel the assault.

Returning to the vault, the party digs through the items there a little more and then ask Reegan to show them where he thinks Rabdolan's lair is. Reegan leads them through the ruins to a ruined military complex. Dllr slowly climbs atop one of the buildings to get a better vantage point while Morgan hangs back to watch for anything. As Dllr scouts the area, Latrell decides to walk straight up to the front door of the largest building. Nothing reacts to his presense, and after Morgan and Dllr berate him for walking straight out in the open, they all return to the Lab Warren.

After discussing what they have seen, the party gathers their gear and Reegan leads them back to the ruins. On the way they meet M'Lnak Slanton, a treasure hunter who is also exploring the area. The party talks with him, and after misleading the man into believing they were hunting some large beast called a Rabdolan, he decides to accompany them. They reach the ruins and split up to examine the various entrance ways. Some of the groups find various ruins and rubble in the buildings they enter along with old human remains. They regroup to proceed through the main entrance. Despite the dilapidated condition of the structure, Morgan uses his lightsaber to cut a hole through one of the walls, thus creating an alternate entrance. They proceed cautiously through the complex finding little but ruins and the occasional skeleton. Entering one doorway in the rear of the building, Morgan feels the pull of a tripwire against his boot and dives to the side. Latrell, however, is not as lucky and is caught beneath a net filled with an assortment of old skulls. After digging out their comrade, the group continues on through the eerily silent ruins. Entering a pair of offices, most of the party doubles back to continue searching elsewhere. Green and M'Lnak search the offices, and Green notices a sliver of light coming from underneath a decomposing bookshelf. In the office on the opposite side of the wall, M'Lnak discovers a hidden switch that opens a door in the wall of the office. They call back the rest of the party and proceed through the door and down a series a stairs.

The stairs lead down into an underground bunker. Entering the bunker, the party enters a central meeting area and finds that it is not alone. Standing in the center of the room is a Rodian in battle armour flanked by a Wookiee with a bowcaster. They also notice a Gand trying to hide behind a couch in the corner of the room. The Rodian asks who they are and what they are doing here. Latrell, standing in the open doorway, says that they are here looking for Rabdolan. The Rodian replies that he is Rabdolan, and the party lowers their weapons and attacks. When the chaos of battle is over, the carnage is great. Rabdolan and his companions lie dead, as does Latrell who lies in a crumpled heap with a bowcaster bolt through his skull. Morgan and Dllr are also badly hurt. The survivors quickly tend to their wounded and make a quick search of their fallen foes. Shortly later the emergency comlink that McRae gave to the party goes off, and Dllr answers it. It is Pravin calling, and he asks the party to return as soon as they can because he needs assistance. They pick up the body of Rabdolan and begin their trek back to the Lab Warren.

On their way out of the ruins though they encounter another person. In the main assembly hall as they are leaving, a muscular woman with a large rifle mounted to a gyro-harness is jogging towards them. The party stops and prepares for battle if necessary. As the woman gets closer, some of the party recognize her as Vasquez Forralis, a successful mercenary. Ter-Dahna tells her that Rabdolan is dead so she doesn't need to worry, to which Forralis replies that they misunderstand her presence. Seeing Rabdolan's body though she tells the party that she has no conflict with them. If they will hand over Rabdolan's credstick so she can get the money he owed her, she will let them leave. Green hands over the credstick, and Forralis steps aside to let the party pass. Dllr talks with her and asks if she knows a quicker way to the surface. She then draws out a makeshift map detailing the fastest way up. As the party passes, a flash of greed passes M'Lnak's eye, and he decides he would rather have Rabdolan's money for himself. He quickly turns and leaps at Forralis. Wary for treachery though, she is ready. Five flashes of blaster fire light up the room and M'Lnak, or at least what's left of him, falls to the ground dead. The party wisely rethinks any similar plans they may have had and leaves to continue to the Lab Warren.

At the Warren, the party is greeted to a hero's welcome. King Nottmar greets the party and offers them a reward: a small ash chest. The party accepts the reward without ever examining its contents and informs the king that they cannot stay long. They go to the vault and find that Jorge has reattached all his limbs and is mostly functional. Gathering up their gear the party makes the trek back towards the city. Fortunately it is an uneventful trip.

Day 8, 8:00
The Broken Saber

Upon entering The Broken Saber, the party is greeted by Bruiyanto who informs them that Pravin will want to speak with them. Also noticing the party's entrance is Harlrura, the Wookiee bouncer. In particular he notices the bowcaster slung across Ter-Dahna's back. The Wookiee growls at her, but she is unable to understand him. Quickly getting more and more angry, Harlrura picks her up and carries her into another room. A few minutes later he returns without her. Waiting at their table, the rest of the party recieves a note that Pravin will see them. Upon entering the meeting room, they find a stressed out looking Pravin and a Cerean scientist. Pravin explains to the party that there are lots of problems happening: McRae hasn't returned yet, Projil is out investigating something else, and not long ago he just received an emergency transmission from one of the teams in the undercity. The team was investigating a cache of cloning vats that was rumoured to be located in the depths of the undercity. A second cache had already been unearthed by another organization, and Pravin fears that this organization has eliminated their team so they can get those cylinders too. There is one survivor of the attack, a mercenary that they had hired to supply some extra firepower. As the party's suspicions begin to grow, Dllr asks the name of the mercenary, and Pravin confirms their fears with his answer: Vasquez Forralis. Knowing that they were the ones who wiped out the other team, the party remains silent. Pravin though is worried and asks that the party travel to the undercity to secure the vats immediately so that they won't fall into the wrong hands. He introduces them to Dr. Sorenbral, the Cerean with him, who will travel with them to help identify the cloning vats and determine their condition. Pravin gives the party the address of a warehouse where they can meet Forralis who will guide them back through the depths of the undercity.

The party leaves the bar and gets on board Dr. Sorenbral's hover truck, which they can use to transport the cylinders. The doctor drives them to the warehouse, and some of the parties disembarks to meet with Forralis. Forralis steps out of the office in the back of the warehouse and recognizes those who killed Rabdolan. Thinking that they have come for her, she dives back into the office and steels herself for battle. Dllr and Morgan advance slowly and try to announce their intentions. Moving in front of the office door they place themselves right in the sights of Forralis' heavy blaster pistol. After quickly explaining their situation, Forralis lowers her weapon. Dllr offers to pay her to come with and keep her mouth shut. Forralis asks for more, and Dllr readily accepts. They then all climb on board the hover truck and depart.

Dllr takes over driving through the ruinous undercity while Forralis "guides" the party to Rabdolan's lair. The party travels inside to rest as they've all been functioning for nearly a day. In the morning, the begin to plan how to retrieve the vats without tipping off Dr. Sorenbral that they've already been here. They decide to drive the truck up most of the way to the Lab Warren and then have some of the party members "scout ahead" to locate the cylinders while the others stay with the truck. As Dllr, Morgan, and Green approach the entrance to the warren, the sentries recognize them and welcome them as heroes. They are ushered in to see King Nottmar, where Dllr explains that the cylinders in their vault are cloning vats. Informing the king that others like Rabdolan will continue to come for the vats, Dllr offers to remove the vats for them so that others won't attack. King Nottmar ponders the suggestion and agrees. After comlinking the others, they bring the truck in. Morgan explains to Dr. Sorenbral that he used his Jedi powers to convince the natives that they were friendly and leads him to the vats. Dr. Sorenbral runs some diagnostics on them with a small computer he brought with and confirms that they are indeed functioning cloning vats. While he is doing this, Charmaine searches some of the other shelves in the room and comes across some old circuit boards buried in a pile of junk that no one had noticed before. She hides them, and helps the others load the cylinders on to the truck. Driving away from the complex and back towards the surface, the party rests while Dr. Sorenbral runs additional tests on the cylinders.

Day 8, 21:00
Coruscant Undercity

As Dr. Sorenbral's hovertruck journeys back to the city, Morgan ponders the significance of the cloning vats. He reasons that if they were forbidden technology there's probably a pretty good reason for that, and he resolves to keep the vats from falling into the wrong hands. He talks with Charmaine in an attempt to come up with a plan to destroy the cylinders. The problems keep coming up of how to make it look like an accident and how to deal with Dr. Sorenbral. Eventually they decide upon a plot to stop for food on the way back and then poison the doctor. Morgan tells Dllr to pull over at a restaurant. When the truck stops, Dr. Sorenbral asks why they are stopping. Morgan says that he's hungry, but Sorenbral points out that they are only 20 minutes from the warehouse. When Dr. Sorenbral offers to drive the truck to the warehouse himself and meet them there, Morgan and Charmaine give in and continue on to the warehouse.

Dllr pulls the truck into the warehouse and two guards come up to help unload it. Morgan tries one last attempt to disable the vats by spilling water on the controls while Charmaine distracts Dr. Sorenbral. Unforunately one of the guards catches him and orders him to stop helping to move the vats. In a last ditch effort, Morgan tosses a homing beacon linked to the Coruscant Guard into the room where the vats are being stored. Forralis stays behind to guard the warehouse, and the others pile onto the truck to drive back to The Broken Saber.

At the bar, the group is soon ushered in to see Pravin, and he congratulates them on their success. He also tells them that the other half of the cloning vats has been located and is in a warehouse in the upper city. They expect resistance, so Pravin offers them a higher payrate for this mission. He informs them that they have had scouts observing the area, and he introduces them to Andy, one of the scouts. Andy will lead them to the warehouse and help with the retrieval of the vats. The group leaves and begins loading the hovertruck with their gear, mindful of not bringing any heavy weapons that the Coruscant Guard might notice.

After passing a police checkpoint without incident, Andy leads the group to the combination warehouse/office building and gives them a description of what he has seen while observing the area, most noticebly the lack of any traffic in or out of the building since the truck carrying the cloning vats arrived. They quickly discuss their options and decide to try to enter through the roof. Morgan leaps to the top of the office section and then helps the others up. They climb a ladder to the top of the warehouse and find an access hatch leading within. Dllr and Jorge check it carefully for any alarms, and when they try to open it they find it locked. Jorge points out a large fan in the roof that may provide another entrance, and Morgan slices through the grating over the fan with his lightsaber. Dllr, Jorge, and Andy attempt to pull the grating up and out of the way, but they instead end up juggling it between them as they all try to get a good grip and end up dropping it. The grate crashes through the fan and onto the floor below. With a clear path down, they lower a rope and descend into the warehouse to find it empty expect for a truck parked there and a security camera in a corner. The group spreads out to search the rest of the building and finds it to be empty and apparently abandoned. Charmaine finds a pile of empty boxes in a kitchen and after moving them discovers an elevator hidden behind them. Everyone regroups and descends to the lower level.

This area is less empty than the offices above, and the group is soon met by a party of guards who open fire. With the guards dispatched, the party continues their exploration soon coming upon a pair of laboratories. Dllr and Jorge find a conference room with a logo that they don't recognize above the table. Morgan, Charmaine, and Andy travel the other direction and find another laboratory where they see the five cloning vats. Unfortunately there are also a number of guards, scientists, and a Bothan businessman whom Andy recognizes as the high profile lawyer Tung Kotha. Kotha asks them their business, and Morgan and Andy try to stall until the rest of the party can arrive. Kotha tries to bribe them into leaving, but the others arrive and the shooting begins. Kotha and some of the scientist escape out a back door, and when Jorge and Dllr pursue they spot them ascending an elevator platform. Dllr manages to shoot out the power cable and the platform comes crashing down. Kotha leaps clear and grabs onto a cable. As the Bothan attempts to climb to safety Jorge shoots the cable, and Kotha falls to the floor below. Seeing the dazed Bothan lying next to him, the sole surviving scientist surrenders.

Interlude
A transmission coming from just beneath the upper levels of Coruscant.

"Pravin, come in you bastard!"

"Who is this?"

"It's Forralis. I suggest you call off your boys inspector."

"What are you talking about?"

"If this is your way of trying to arrest me, you're going to have to try harder!"

"I don't know what you mean! I hear blaster fire, what's happening?"

"I'm still at the warehouse where the good doctor dropped off your new toys. A truckload of your SWAT boys showed up a couple minutes ago looking for a fight, and there's still more coming. They already took out one of the guards after they came in demanding that we hand over Morgan to them. I told them he wasn't here, but they didn't seem to believe me. What the hell is going on here?"

"I... I... I don't know. This shouldn't be happening! Stop firing! The Coruscant Guard aren't your enemy. Just get out of there, and don't kill any more of them!"

"I'm touched by your concern, but they were the ones who came after us. Are you sure this Morgan is really a Jedi? Why are the Guard looking for him?"

"I don't know, my superior was suspicious of why he was hiding out in the undercity but didn't say anything else to me. I'll see what I can dig up on him."

"What about your vats?"

"I release you from your contract, just get stop fighting. I'll arrange for the vats to be moved to a more secure location and look into what happened. Pravin out."

"Damn cops."

Interlude
Conversations heard in various parts of Coruscant over the course of a day.

"I'm on my way back Prav, and I've got bad news. They're definitely up to something. I'll tell you all it about it once I'm back, but I'll need some things ready for my return. We need more info about what's going on here, and I intend to capture one of their ships to find out. So get a small transport and a couple of starfighters that we can make look like pirates. Call back one of our space ops teams, and have them prepped and ready to leave within an hour of my landing. I'll brief them from there."

---

"Dispatch to all units near sector 437A Level 8. Anonymous sources have tipped us off to an illegal arms deal taking place in a warehouse at coordinates 42439.6 by 8423.3 by 6935.2. SWAT teams have been scrambled. Other units respond for support and crowd control. Expect heavy resistance."

---

"Tyranthra to base, come in."

"Pravin here, I read you."

"We've got problems, our hyperdrive failed on us, and we're dead in space. It looks like it might be sabotage. Thankfully Braccix managed to get us out of hyperspace safely. He estimates at least another day before he has the drives repaired. I think you're going to have to call on someone else to handle this one."

"But you were the only ones in range, especially now. How much do you think Braccix is padding his estimate?"

"I already accounted for that, he told me two days."

"Damn. Get your ship repaired and get here safely. We'll have to do a full overhaul of the ship then. I'll try to find someone to replace you for now."

---

"Welcome back to the RNN Morning Edition. I'm Gil McGillischlictski. In our top story this morning, the infamous Dark Jedi Perdium may have finally been captured on video tape. Perdium has been linked to numerous robberies of museums and libraries and is suspected in the deaths of fourteen Coruscant Guardsmen and two Jedi Knights. No witnesses have ever survived his crimes and no known pictures exist of him. Last night during a police raid of a suspected illegal arms deal, a figure wielding a lightsaber and Jedi skills escaped from the scene after killing a number of Coruscant Guard. The two arms dealers drove through police barricades in a hover truck shortly before but were killed when they were shot down by pursuing craft. Although the footage from the police surveillance drone is fuzzy, the Dark Jedi can be seen here escaping along with an as of yet unidentified human female accomplice. Police suspect that Perdium's involvement in the arms deal may be in preparation for another string of robberies. A spokesman announced this morning that, along with the Jedi Council, they have intesified their search for the him."

---

"Good morning Mr. Kotha."

"McRae! You're supposed to be dead."

"It's nice to see you again too."

"If you wanted to keep me from issuing another death mark on your head, you shouldn't have sent your goons to kidnap me."

"That's the beauty of it Tung... I didn't. I didn't expect you or your scientists would be at the warehouse. I didn't expect the team I sent to bring back prisoners either. But it seems fate has brought us together again."

"So why am I here now?"

"I have a proposition for you. I should probably kill you; you certainly deserve it. But I know you, and I don't know who would replace you. I'd rather not take the chance that someone less intelligent and graceful fill your shoes."

"I'm flattered. Get to the point."

"Your quarrel is with me. I'm sure you'll put out a new contract on me now that you know your last one failed, but leave the others alone. You should be thankful to them in fact for sparing your life. Return the favour to them and you can walk free now."

"That's all?"

"Yes. Now leave before I change my mind."
