This page lists some of the conventions that we have attended in the past, and general information about them.
GenCon | |
The Granddaddy of them all. GenCon. The premier gaming convention in the world. Whatever game you play, you can find it here. Gen Con is in its second year in Indianapolis (a surprisingly nice change).
Origins | |
Another great convention, known for travelling around the world. It's currently being held in Columbus, Ohio, and will be there till 2008 at least.
Con of the North | |
A much smaller scale than Gen Con or Origins, but a very nice convention. The games are free after admission, and the events are surprisingly varied for a smaller con. Nice people, and much less red tape, too.
The Chicagoland Gamers CONclave Home Page
A holiday celebration of the Chicago area's vast and varied gaming culture. A call out to gamers from Chicago and beyond. All are welcome whether you play RPG's, CCG's, Miniatures, Boardgames, Rail games, LARPs or Wargames.
Ambercon | |
Aside from being one of the best series of novels around, Roger Zelazny's Amber book spawned a really nice diceless RPG, which itself has spawned Ambercon, a convention dedicated to one game: Amber Diceless Roleplaying. Held in Detroit every year. Read the books, and go play the game. |
