Video Games

The year was 1978. The game was Pong. I had it. It ruled.

Needless to say, video games are what really made me want to get into computers. I've played lots of games over the years. Anything from Pac-Man, Combat, The Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy, Starflight, Atari's Raiders Of The Lost Ark, and many more.

Here is my personal all-time top-ten list.

1 Raiders Of The Lost Ark Atari 2600 Modeled after an excellent movie, this game emplored problem-solving skills equal to the high-performance games of today.
2 Duke Nukem 3D PC 80486 3D, first person, multiplayer action. Nuff said.
3 NHL 95 PC 80486, Sega Genesis, Super NES Improved over its previous versions, NHL 95 remains a competitor even against the newer NHL series games. And you can run non-playing leagues...very cool.
4 Super Tecmo Bowl Football Nintendo This is the first game that I'm aware of that kept season-stats. Very addicting.
5 Starflight PC 8088 One of the first roleplaying space games. Took over 400 hours to win and had graphics years ahead of its time.
6 Tekken 3 Sony Playstation Excellent fighting game. Graphics and gameplay are unparalleled.
7 Baseball Stars Nintendo Not only does it keep season stats, but it also let you make your own players!
8 Space Quest II PC 8088 More than a few steps up from its predecessor, this game had great graphics for 16-color EGA. Also, any game where you kill someone by slinging a rock at them with a jockstrap is cool.
9 Command And Conquer PC 80486 Awesome combination of strategy, real-time play, and decent graphics.
10 The Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy PC 8088 This game had a great "I'm a loser and I'm saving the universe plot" and it was hillarious. Also the only game on this list without any graphics.
