Here are some guidelines to use in creating your characters.
- Everybody will play one character.
- Most alien races, including those from the WEG books, will be allowed. If it's not in the new rule book though, clear it with me first so we can work on a stat conversion.
- If anyone wants to play a droid, there are a number of special rules regarding droids. I haven't read them too closely though myself. If you're interested in playing a droid, let me know.
- I will be using some feats that do not appear in the main rule book. These include Mechanic: Starship, Mechanic: Ground Vehicle, Mechanic: Blaster Weapons, and Mechanic: Droid. Each acts as a "proficiency" for the Repair skill, similar to the Starship Operation or Weapon Group feats.
- Force users will be allowed. Since this takes place prior to Episode I, Jedi characters are just fine.
- Characters will start with 1001 experience points, putting them at second level.
- You may purchase your own starting equipment. Everyone gets the following items:
- Blaster pistol OR Holdout blaster OR Melee weapon (Check for availability of specific weapon desired)
- 1 blaster power pack
- Knife
- Comlink
- Glowrod
- Credstick linked to your account at the bank of your choice on Coruscant
You don't have to start with that gear if you don't want it, but it's free if you do. (And anyone who takes it just for the intention of selling it forfeits their right to it.) Each character starts with the maximum credits allowed for their class. You may purchase items from the main rule book. If you want an item that isn't in that book but existed in the WEG source books, let me know and we can make a conversion.
- Try to make a backstory for your character. Even a short little paragraph can help. Since this is planned to be a shorter campaign, you don't necessarily need a lot, but the more you come up with, the better you'll be able to play your character and the better I'll be able to work your character into the story.
